What is TrackAudio?

TrackAudio is a next generation Audio-For-VATSIM ATC Client for macOS, Linux and Windows.

After connecting to the network as an observer, you'll ask: How do I listen to ATC? Well you've come to the right guide. In VATSSA we use TrackAudio as our recommended audio client. An observer guide for Audio for VATSIM can be found here.

Setting up TrackAudio

  • Input your VATSIM Details
  • Your VATSIM CID
  • Your VATSIM Password
  • Configure audio devices
  • Select a Headset, Speaker and Input device
  • Set a Push-To-Talk (PTT) bind
  • Save your changes by pressing 'Close' on the bottom right

Connecting and Listening to ATC

  • Open TrackAudio, if setup correctly and connected to VATSIM you will see a green 'CONNECT' button.
  • Once connected, press the + button to Add a Station. TrackAudio Observing 2 - Adding a Station
  • Type in the station you want to observe, in this case we have FACT_GND. TrackAudio Observing 3 - Adding a Station
  • Click 'RX' (receive) to listen in the frequency. TrackAudio Observing 5 - RX a Frequency
