Overview
Congratulations! By now you have very likely begun coding your first aerodrome page. Whether it be Togo or FASA, you may need to create 2 types of maps: visual flight rules (VFR) and visual reference points (VRP).
Furthermore, should you have any remaining questions, we strongly encourage you to ask in the VATSSA Community Discord server; a link can be found here.
Copyright
Copyright is a legal term used to describe the rights that creators have over their work.
Copyright and Licensing Notice
By submitting your work to the VATSSA eAIP, you are confirming that:
-
The work you have submitted is your own creation or that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.
-
If it is your own personal work, you grant VATSSA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute your submission in connection with the project.
-
You agree that your contribution does not knowingly or purposefully infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
Warning
Navigraph and ChartFox are NOT copyright-free sources.
There are very few copyright-free sources. The best source is the real-world eAIP, other government-produced resources, or custom-made maps.
Breach of Copyright
Failure to adhere to our strict copyright rules will result in your pull request being rejected. Should you continue to breach these rules, we may ask you to refrain from submitting further pull requests.
